What is the Victorian Masters Series?

The Victorian Masters Series (VMS) is a state-wide series of low-cost, single-round disc golf events designed specifically for Masters players. Hosted by Australian Masters Disc Golf Incorporated (AMDGI), the series aims to provide regular competition opportunities while building a stronger Masters disc golf community across Victoria.

The 2026 series is also being used to help promote and support the 2026 Aussie Masters Championships, with funds raised contributing towards event media coverage and player attraction initiatives.

Series Format

• Approximately 10 events across metropolitan and regional Victoria.
• Single-round, low-cost tournaments.
• Open to all PDGA Masters divisions (Pro and Amateur).
• Players’ best results count towards the overall series standings.
• Similar format to the Melbourne Disc Golf Club Summer Cup Series.

Prizes

Each event will feature:

• Closest-to-the-Pin (CTP) prizes.
• Collectable “Crayz” winner’s poker chips for divisional winners.

End-of-series prizes will be awarded based on participation levels and division sizes, with details announced during the season.

Tournament Director Role

AMDGI is looking for local Tournament Directors to host VMS rounds at courses across Victoria.

As a TD, you will:

• Coordinate the event locally.
• Manage registrations and scoring.
• Promote the event within your local community.
• Work with AMDGI on scheduling and event administration.

Events will be run through the AMDGI Disc Golf Scene account, with TDs provided administrator access as required.

Scheduling

Where possible, VMS events will be scheduled alongside existing league days or social days to maximise participation and support local clubs.

We are particularly interested in hosting events at regional courses and venues that may not regularly host Masters-focused competitions.

Current Plans

The series launches on 8 June at Ruffey Lake Park and will conclude with two events in Ballarat during September, providing a natural lead-in to the 2026 Aussie Masters.

Additional venues are currently being sought throughout Victoria.
